there was this very touching show yesterday... my sister cried until her eyes was swollen la.. but i wasnt touched by the show to that extent like my sis.. lols..
yups.. the show is a romance show la.. features a girl, called jing shu and his foster brother called tai hua. and her husband, cheng jun if im not wrong.
this jing shu is a very very sweet girl and her husband loves her a lot. however, her brother, no relation by blood, is in love with her too, even though he knew she had a husband. so he always remained a silent angel by her side. one day, unfortunately, jing shu was down with cornea cancer and once the cancer cells start to spread, jing shu would lost her life..donors for cornea is rare, and her husband begged the doctor once to extract one of his eye's cornea for his wife. but the doc told him that cornea cannot be extracted from living people's eyes. so the husband left feeling hopeless and worried.
then, tai hua went to the doc on the same day and he asked the doc the same question as cheng jun. the doc told him the same thing too, but he asked the doc,"so its alright to extract from a dead person's eyes?" and after that, he went to fill up a form to extract his organs if he died and then prepared a letter to that girl to say that he had found a girlfriend and will never write to her anymore.. its so sad lor.. haiz.. in the end the guy committed suicide by colliding into a tree in a car........
haiz.. sometimes it's hard to do somethings.. naturally people will say that the husband must be the person who love his wife the most and will be willing to sacrifice anything for her, even if its his life. but things never go this way.. so do we say that this husband is selfish and unwilling to die for his wife? maybe yes, but maybe not. if the husband really died for the wife, it shows nothing except that the husband loves her a lot. in the end, the wife will be left lonely and have no one to love her and take care of her. eventually, her life wouldnt be happy as well.
so u consider that selfish annot? well.. i've no idea as well. =S
